| Organophosphorus Compounds | Tributoxyethylphosphate (TBEP) | Tributoxyethyl phosphate is a colorless to yellowish clear liquid with a mild odor. It is freely soluble in the common organic solvents but only slightly soluble in glycerol, glycols and amines. Its main use is as plasticizer in polymer dispersion based floor polishes.
Floor polishes containing tributoxyethyl phosphate are noted for high gloss and elasticity. Furthermore, the addition of tributoxyethyl phosphate improves the compatibility of the raw materials.
The product is used in amounts of 1-2.5%, relative to the diluted polymer dispersion. |
