Candles normally consist of pure stearin, pure paraffin wax or a mixture of both. Colored candles are produced either by mass coloration or dip coloration. With mass coloration, the entire candle compound from which the candles are moulded or drawn is colored. With dip coloration, the colored coating is applied to the uncolored candle by dipping.
