Leather finishing gives leather its color, its luster and its feel - in short, its appearance. Dyestuff solutions, pigments dispersions or top coats are used to enhance the leather properties and to protect it against mechanical stress and environmental pollution (sun light, heat, rain etc.).

Water based leather finishes can be coloured with colorants such as acid dyes like Duasyn and selected pigments out of ranges like Hostaperm, Novoperm, Permanent, Graphtol and PV Fast.
Solvent based leather finishes can be coloured with solvent-soluble dyes colorants like Savinyl.
